
Abimbola Fayomi, executive director with the World Philanthropy Network (WPN), a global and advisory network that gives you the tools and platform to exchange ideas, inspire new mindsets, and align resources for the greater good. Abimbola is also a Development Consultant in the Humanitarian and Development space, implementing programs in the Education sector, in the Northeast of Nigeria.
Abimbola’s most recent projects includes field experience in the Northeast of Nigeria, implementing programs, which are, reconstruction of schools, training of teachers, improving children’s education within communities under International Donor Funding Institutions such as the World Bank & African Development Bank. Other projects include the Safe Schools Initiative (Joint initiative between the UN & Nigeria), where she led a team of 7, focused on transferring displaced children from their homes (due to the insurgency that ravished their hometowns), to safer areas of the country where they can continue their education. Abimbola has lived in 6 countries including Nigeria, Brazil, China, Zimbabwe, South Korea and the USA. With her diverse background, she has realized that education is the foundation for development, impact, and providing solutions in our global community.
Prior to working as a Development Consultant, Abimbola worked for a Fortune 50 Aerospace company for many years in Connecticut and Philadelphia, USA. Abby holds a B.S in Accounting from Liberty University, Virginia and an MBA from Howard University, Washington D.C.
